We will be hacking at the current code, improve it and possibly make sure that posts which do not really contain anything Perl-related will not appear on the feed.
If you would like to help us and contribute too, you can do that without having to physically come to Lancaster: check out Hackday/2010 and hopefully soon it will have the needed information to join us on IRC
